Akagera National Park is one of Rwanda's most popular tourist sites, with a diverse diversity of wildlife primates. It spans 1,200 square kilometers in north-eastern Rwanda, close to the Tanzanian border. It was formed in 1934 to protect animals and vegetation from poaching and hunting in three ecoregions: Savannah, Mountain, and Swamp.

Tour Agenda
  • Day 1: Pick Up and transfer to Akagera National Park
  •                                                             This is Day, you will be picked from Kigali International Airport according to your arrival, or from your hotel in Kigali after your breakfast , you will be picked by your driver guide and you will be transferred to Akagera National Park, It will take range of 2-3 hours, then when you reach into the park after registration and briefing at reception of the park, you will drive to the lodge for checking in and having lunch, you will relax afternoon while waiting for the time of starting night game drive.
                                                            
  • Day 2: Behind The scene experience, Game drives and Boat tour
  •                                                             Early morning after breakfast you will start to experience Akagera National Park as a Savannah park with different animals accordingly, you will start by experiencing behind the scene activities which will helps you to know more about the park from early before and current time, from there you will have full game drive by visiting different parts of the park for spotting different animals such as Elephants, Antelopes, Impala, zebras, Buffaloes, Giraffes, and so many others, you will have this game drive with packed lunch, because you will be having relax at picnic areas. Later you will enjoy sunset boat ride in Lake Ihema for viewing Hippos, crocodiles, some bird species and some scenic sun set.
                                                            
  • Day 3: Half Game drive and Back to Kigali
  •                                                             We shall have yet another day of adventure within the park, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of Rwanda’s hilly landscape, comprised of a blend of wetland, savannah, and woodland, the natural forests also make quite a view. The location of the park shows that it lies at a lower altitude as compared to rest of the country, therefore meaning that it is not only warmer but drier. Some of the wildlife you will see here includes Giraffes, Buffalos, and Elephants as well as a profusion of birds. If fortunate, we may be able to sight at the Shoebill Stork, especially around the shores of the lake. From here you will drive back to Kigali, Dinner, and overnight in Kigali.
